CLIENT: Paris Magdalinos Architects, through Hawkins Construction.
CHALLENGE: Deliver a design solution to a complex piece of architecture that accommodates the variations of dimension as it travels up the 50 metre-high tower.
SOLUTION: A lightweight, easy-to-install vortex feature with massively reduced wind- loading factors, selected from a colour range to match the concrete finish.
RESULT: A visually exciting translucent spiral vortex result that cut the costs of alternative products and installation by over 50%.
