Modern Facade Facelift for Coco California Retail Store

Bringing the California cool

Coco California is a family run, Australian-based online fashion boutique based in Port Lincoln, Australia. After a trip to Beverly Hills and the famous shopping precinct of Rodeo drive, The Coco California owners had a vision to bring the glamourous shopping experience all the way back to Port Lincoln, South Australia. They wanted a store front to set them apart from the standard brick and wood exteriors surrounding their store. 

We worked with Coco California to design a simple and clean aesthetic using a single 52m2 sheet of Steel coloured Kaynemaile. The mesh was fixed over the top of the existing facade meaning that no construction or alteration of the building was required. This single piece was lifted and fixed off in a day minimising the amount of time the store was closed.

The result is a high impact exterior that is sleek, minimalist and high end without being high cost. Kaynemaile reduces passive solar gain to a building by up to 75% and provides ventilation while maintaining visibility from the inside out. These benefits were paramount for the sub-tropical climate of Port Lincoln.
