Sculptural Bronze Privacy Screening

The Kaynemaile screens provide the perfect amount of privacy to the diners in the restaurant without being completely blocked off from the adjacent spaces.

Norths Devils Leagues Club is a large entertainment venue and home to the North Brisbane Devils Rugby League team who have a long-established history in the sport and region. The club houses a restaurant, gaming facilities and has two large areas for weddings and corporate functions.

In 2018 Cayas Architects were engaged to reinvent the existing club developing a new entry, bars, gaming rooms and a restaurant. Austaron, Kaynemaile agents in Australia, worked with Cayas to develop two large feature screens to separate the restaurant from the gaming area. The curved screens are fixed within the wall surrounding the restaurant and entrance.

Unique curved metal framing was used on either side of the Bronze Kaynemaile mesh to create depth within the design. The Bronze Kaynemaile mesh perfectly complemented the bronze framing without needing further finishes, creating a seamless and elegant ‘fixed curtain’ look which is offset by the wooden framing.

The use of Kaynemaile mesh in the design enables air flow to be maintained across the larger area. The screens provide the perfect amount of privacy to the diners in the restaurant without being completely blocked off from the adjacent spaces.
